Fixings
Fixings with stanchions and fittings are components of handrail systems that are used to connect and support the rails and balustrades. Stanchions are vertical posts that are fixed to the floor or the wall, and have one or more balls or sockets to attach the rails. Fittings are connectors that join the rails to the stanchions or to each other, and can have different shapes and angles depending on the design. Some common types of fittings are patch fittings, spider fittings, closure bends, rail bends, and slip joints. Fixings with stanchions and fittings are often made of galvanised steel or aluminium, and can be used for various applications such as stairs, ramps, corridors, and balustrades.
